The sidecar is connected to a standard bicycle via a pivot bearing which allows for the sidecar to move freely up and down in relation to the bicycle.
This means that you can ride your bicycle normally and the sidecar will not have the tendency to lift one wheel up when making a turn. This would happen if the sidecar was fixed solidly to the bicycle.
It only takes a second to detach the sidecar from your bicycle which is very useful after dropping the children off at daycare. You can then continue to work riding your standard bike leaving the sidecar behind at the daycare.
The sidecar has space for two children at a time with built-in seatbelts to secure them whilst travelling.
As the sidecar hooks up to the bicycle using only a mounting bracket, additional brackets for the same sidecar are offered. The brackets can then get mounted onto various bicycles so that the sidecar can be attached to either mom or dad’s bikes.
The sidecar can be attached to most standard bicycles such as mountainbikes, city bikes as well as cruiser bicycles. It is however, not recommendable to hook it onto carbon bicycles or race bikes with very narrow wheels. See more in the menu specification
The seat pad has been developed for multiple functions:
- Unfolded it can be used for the child to sleep on when the sidecar is not in use, f.ex. when stopping over
- It works as extra protection against the cold of the snow when the sidecar is used as a sleigh
- Doubles as a changing mat when on the road
The seat pad does not contain softening phthalate
